Asda have been selling Peppa Pig badges to raise money for Tommy's Baby Charity. There are 4 designs

Milkshake Website So Slow

I've been sitting with my little girl trying to play the Peppa Pig games on the Milkshake Website

It looks to be such a promising place for little ones to play and explore but it is heavily intensive on Flash and it is just so slow.

My little one just said "games boring" and got down to get something to eat whilst she was waiting for the game to load!

Peppa Pig Toys

As you can imagine we've had plenty of the Peppa Pig toys & books in our house over the past year, some have been fantastic whilst others have been rather disappointing. Below are my personal opinions on

Disappointments

"Giggle and Talk Peppa" did not have very robust arms and legs and they were quickly broken.
The lift the flaps books went the same way as most lift the flaps usually do with toddlers.
The tree on the Roundabout didn't last very long either before that was beyond repair.
Woolworths value pack of Grandpas Little Train, Daddy Pigs Car and The Playground is a con. It is advertised as being half recommended retail price, but that is based on the price of the fully functional train and car. The packaging is unclear that it is not the same products that are advertised on the TV as the titles are subtley changed to Push Along Grandpas Little Train, etc. Personally I think that this one to take up with trade descriptions and I may well do so in the future.

Loved To Bits

Giggling Pirate George - Little toy bought in Woolworths which travels around with us.
Peppa Pigs Playhouse - Plastic playset with the entire family plus furniture, good value for money.
Peppa Pig Ball - First and cheapest Peppa Pig toy we ever bought. It still keeps our little one amused for hours.
Peppa Pig Dressing Up Outfit - Just recently bought in Asda, she won't wear it but it gets cuddled to death!
Peppa Pig Magazine - Keeps Little'Un occupied for hours. She loves the stickers and the stories.

Below is a selection of toys available at Amazon. Typically I find that it is a good place to buy as prices tend to be competitive and you can get toys that are no longer available in the High Street stores.

Peppa Pig Dress Up - So Cute

Just came back from Asda today and they are selling Peppa Pig dressing up costumes.

A little 'dress' with a hood that is padded to look like Peppas head and a little curly oink tail. It comes complete with a 'Teddy' which resembles a bookmark.

From what I saw it came in at least 2 sizes, 1-3 years and 4-6 years. It costs £8.

How could I resist!

The Peppa Pig magazine has been available since January 2007. More details about it can be found at http://www.redan.co.uk/RedanLive/Peppa.asp

Now, we have never bought the Peppa Pig magazine so are unable to comment on the content of it, but we have collected the Peppa Pig ABC Wall frieze through the Redan Friends magazine. The Friends magazine goes down very well with my 6 year old!

I wish that they had put a little more though into the wall frieze though. I would have preferred to see G for George and M for Mummy pig. Although E was Elephant it would have been nice to see Emily Elephant there. Or maybe I'm more of a Peppa Pig fan than my 18 mth old!

Peppa Pig is a UK animated television series about the life of an anthropomorphic pig, Peppa, and her family. Peppa Pig and her family and friends are all anthropomorphized animals drawn in such a stylised fashion that their heads are always in profile, creating the impression of both eyes being on the same side of their face. They wear clothes, live in houses and drive cars, but still display some characteristics of the animals on which they are based. Peppa and her family snort like pigs during conversations and also like to jump in muddy puddles. The other animals also make their respective appropriate noises when they talk. One exception to the rule of human-like habitation is the rabbit family, who live in a burrow in a hill, although it does have windows.

Peppa's family consists of Daddy Pig (who is a bit bumbling and eats too much), Mummy Pig (who is far more sensible and practical than Daddy), Peppa, and her little brother George. There are also a Grandpa and Grandma Pig, but it is not clear if they are Daddy or Mummy Pig's parents. Peppa's favourite toy is her Teddy, while George's is "Mr Dinosaur," although he can only say "Dine-saw." Peppa goes to a playgroup run my Madame Gazelle.

The show first aired on Five in 2004, and had its American premiere as part of Cartoon Network's Tickle-U preschool television programming block on August 22, 2005, re-dubbed with American voices. In the United Kingdom, it can also be seen on Nick Jr., the same with Portugal, Italy, Benelux, Scandinavia and Australia. The show just arrived in Taiwan on Playhouse Disney and should soon arrive to Cartoon Network.

By August of 2005, 52 five-minute episodes had been made by Astley Baker Davies in conjunction with The Contender Group. The show features voices of some members of the Absolutely Scottish comedy group as well as character actors, veteran voice artistes, and children. The stories are designed to appeal to pre-school children, but also to adults and older children, particularly when it comes to the behaviour of the parent and grandparent animals.

A second series of 52 episodes began on Five on Monday 4 September 2006, with Cecily Bloom replacing Lily Snowden-Fine as Peppa, amongst other cast changes."
